THIS WEEK AT RAIDSECRETS - 9/2/2021
This week at Raid Secrets, we're starting to... well, find some secrets.
The Dreaming City's return has brought with it some very interesting new things, both in the form of gameplay and marketing material. We've seen some interesting things in the distance of the Shattered Realm, and Astral Alignment still has some potential to reveal some things once Bungie manages to patch the broken encounter options within it. Considering we still aren't sure what exactly a lot of the new things are, or what they mean, this TWARS won't be very long, but will hopefully inspire some people to search for new things.
On the topic of broken, there seems to be a nice big box of fun around every corner, but the most prominent box has the words "Fusion Rifles" in bright paint on the side. Lorentz Driver seems to be Arbalest's big brother, and the new charge-to-damage rework is playing very nicely with the seasonal mods. It's only a matter of time until Telesto emerges from the depths again.
RED DOESN'T MEAN DEAD
The trailer for The Witch Queen is still fresh in our memories, and we're still poring over it looking for clues and hints. Many people believe Ikora is on Mars - but we can't quite narrow it down as to where. One of the papers on the board seem to be the D1 Mars map, and another seems like it could be the Hellas Basin section of the D2 Mars map. In terms of other papers, we seem to also have a hint as to what the layout of Savathun's Throne World will be. There's a map with a large circular structure in the middle, next to pictures of shriekers and a picture of the massive tower with a green environment around it. The only thing it's missing (which could be covered up) is the pyramid ship that we're supposedly entering for the raid and possibly weapons crafting once we get our feet on the ground.
ONGOING OPERATIONS
We're still not out of the weeds with the Last Exit puzzle, but more people are finding their way to the Discord channel and pitching in where they can. If you're interested even a small amount, feel free to stop by and check out what's happening. We've also got plenty of people trying to explore the Dreaming City and everything around it. Map-breakers are finding lots of dev cubes and death walls. We've also got some new things to play with in the RS Casino if you've got some time you're looking to burn outside of Destiny. Keep in mind it's still a very early Alpha system and constantly changing. We're also waiting for the 30th Anniversary release and the new dungeon and secrets that will come with it (hey there Xur) but that's still a decent wait. In the mean time, and in case you missed the new weekly quest and want to get through it quickly, here's a list of this week's astral anchor locations.
Last week's TWARS mentioned some statistics within the community with this post, but we weren't able to get everything together for today. We'll try to have it ready for next week, but in the mean time we hope you've been enjoying the season so far.
This TWARS is definitely on the shorter side, supposedly like today's TWAB, and that's why we don't plan on this being a rigidly consistent thing. We might have a tech-blog-style piece next week about RSCoin and its development in case anyone is curious about making their own programs and systems inside of Discord.
